Here’s the OWL agenda for this week:
- Sept. 25 OWL Global Wisdom Circle with first speaker Sonya Shah, featuring a conversation about Justice that Heals, is this Sunday, September 25, at 9 AM Pacific Time.
Sonya is a social justice facilitator, professor, teacher, and community healer, who teaches and facilitates restorative justice practices in schools, communities and prisons. She spends time each month in California prisons facilitating circles with men convicted of sexual abuse against children — holding the space for healing and redemption. Please RSVP and check out the details at Sept. 25 OWL Global Wisdom Circle.
- Sept. 17 Awakin Call Recording: The Awakin Call recording which includes my conversation with Mike Dickson is now available:
Mike, who lives in the UK, is an extraordinary leader who connects wealthy business leaders with leaders of small charities around the world — in ways that transform the lives of everyone involved.
- Sept. 26: Global Gender Partnership Circle. Convened by a core team that includes Bonita Banducci (USA), Dr. Grace Wamue-Ngare (Kenya), Trish Sewe (Kenya), Usman Mohammed Inuwa (Nigeria), and Offuh James Offuh (Ivory Coast), this is a monthly circle of women and men around the world in partnership for the empowerment of women.
Please RSVP and check out the details at Sept. 26 Global Gender Partnership Circle.
- Zilong Wang: Kathmandu to Lumbini. OWL member Zilong was born in China, came to the U.S. to study and work, and then decided to make a pilgrimage — by bicycle! — back to the East. He has been posting along the way about his adventures.
His latest, “Kathmandu to Lumbini: Birthplace of the Enlightened One,” includes reflections on the Nepalese people and “Chinese hippies” he meets along the way. Available at ServiceSpace, and also on his blog: Journey to the East.
We’d love to see you at any of our upcoming events!
