Dear Friends,
On this day of the inauguration of the man that many Americans consider the least qualified and most dangerous president in U.S. history — I’m pleased to share some positive news! We’re talking about women’s leadership! First, many of us — both women and men — will be participating tomorrow, Jan. 21, in the Women’s March in cities across the U.S. Let’s share our experiences — comments, photos, etc. — while it’s happening. Also, if you’re planning to be at the March in San Francisco, let us know and join some of us there! You can do both at our OWL Facebook Group. Second, on Monday, Jan. 23, Bonita Banducci will be leading a Global Gender Partnership discussion with two extraordinary women leaders — one Israeli and one Palestinian — who are “waging peace” in the Middle East.
See the information, and RSVP link, below. You can also check out a conversation with them sponsored by J Street, the U.S. organization that lobbies for a two-state solution. Any questions, or ideas for topics or speakers for future OWL circles? Please let me know! Wishing us all the strength, courage, friendship, love, and strong community to respond to darkness with light in the time ahead. In gratitude. |

Women Waging Peace leaders Hamutal Gouri and Riman Barakat are scheduled to share their experience of launching and leading this extraordinary movement for peace between Israeli and Palestinian people in challenging circumstances and times.
Bonita:
Here’s a recording of their conversation for J Street, the organization here in the US supporting a two state solution.
I think you will be inspired!
This will also be wonderful opportunity to also share the experience of those of us who are participating in marches in the United States (and some places internationally) Jan 21 supporting progressive causes that are not supported by the new US presidency.
Please join us for a conversation about women’s leadership waging peace in the Middle East!
Monday, January 23, 2016, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM Pacific Time.
You can find your corresponding local time at Time and Date.
To join us for the videoconference, please RSVP now!
We’ll get back to you with details.
