Dear Friends,
We’ve got three upcoming global conversations this month with inspiring peace and social justice activists.
- Feb. 15 Global Gender Partnership:
Women Waging Peace, Part 2
Israeli singer-songwriter and activist Yael Deckelbaum will be joining her fellow Women Waging Peace leaders Hamutal Gouri, and Riman Barakat (if she is able to attend), in exploring with Bonita Banducci the role of gender competencies in a women-led movement for peace between the Israeli and Palestinian people.

- Feb. 18 Global Awakin Call:

Yoav Peck, an American born Israeli who lives in Jerusalem, is the co-Executive Director of the Sulha Peace Project, a group of Israelis and Palestinians who meet regularly “to encounter the other in our full humanity.”

- Feb. 26 Combined Global Wisdom Circle & Being American Now: On the Front Lines at Standing Rock
Artist and social activist Colleen Choi spent two months with the indigenous peoples who were defending their water, and their way of life, at Standing Rock. What can we learn from her story about resisting ignorance, fear, greed, and hatred — with light, courage, selfless service, and love — and about American values — at this moment in history?

This month’s leaders seem to me to be an especially inspiring group — demonstrating the special combination of strength, courage, compassion and love that is so needed in these times. I hope you can join us for one or more of these conversations!
Any questions, or ideas for topics or speakers for future OWL circles? Please let me know!
In gratitude.
