“Americans! We need to find ways — as our government is abandoning the people of Africa — to reach out as private citizens. My wife and I know some of these people — kind, smart, creative, hardworking peace activists in Ivory Coast, Liberia, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Kenya — through an online community that we host. One promising idea — from an immigrant from Cameroon who became a U.S. citizen and served in our military — “business diplomacy.” Americans making business investments in Africa to generate wealth, jobs, transfer technology, build relationships, and support education — and paths to a brighter future for young people. A win-win for everyone.”
